The school year has begun and with it the start of our first trimester
Our 4th grade students started off with great enthusiasm to engage in their scholastic subjects. One novelty this year was their individual Science text books where they can follow along with the reading and practice their fluency and comprehension. The first topic covered was "Life Processes", where through critical thinking, comparisons and contrast they were able to draw their conclusions on the different subjects discussed.
Plant and Animal cells were one among the subjects discussed, after which we reproduced a 3D plant cell out of water, glue and newspaper. Through this activity the students were able to enhance their vocabulary and language structures, using questions, answers, and their newly learnt Science Vocabulary to label the parts in the cell.
